By accessing or using SteadyGaze (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SteadyGaze is a productivity application that provides:

  • A Pomodoro-style focus timer with customizable durations
  • Session intentions and reflection prompts
  • Progress tracking and statistics
  • Data export in JSON and CSV formats

3. User Data

SteadyGaze stores all data locally on your device. No account is required. You are responsible for:

  • Backing up your data if needed (use the export feature in Settings)
  • Managing your local storage

4. Purchases and Payments

4.1 One-Time Purchase

SteadyGaze is available as a one-time purchase that unlocks all features permanently. Pricing may vary: early supporters receive a discounted rate of $1 USD, while the standard price is $3.99 USD.

4.2 Platform-Specific Purchases

Each platform (Web, Android, Chrome Extension) requires a separate purchase. Purchases do not transfer between platforms.

4.3 Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with SteadyGaze, contact support@steadygaze.app within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Use the Service to transmit malware or malicious code
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SteadyGaze and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you create using the Service (such as task names and notes).

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Service is free of viruses or other harmful components
  • The results of using the Service will meet your requirements

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STEADYGAZE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SteadyGaze and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
  • You may export your data before termination if possible
  • We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
